Our Process

When you work with Dave Netti Homes, it’s a personal experience. You’ll have my cellphone. I’m usually up by 5:30 and you’re welcome to call me on weekdays.


Weekends are my downtime with my family, but you can text and I’ll get back to you. I’m out on the jobs a minimum of twice weekly, usually early in the morning. We’ll also correspond via email as we confirm project plans.


You’ll talk to Martha every Monday, and you’ll talk to Sharon on a weekly basis, too.

Let’s Get to Know Each Other

I want to understand who you are. What are you thinking? What are you thinking your budget is? Tell me what you like and
what you don’t like. We’ll do sketches and come up with some ideas.

We Come Up With a Plan

Sometimes I’ll just take a lawn chair out to the site and sit. How will our ideas look in this context? How will what we’re visualizing fit with the neighbors? We put a lot of work into this personalized plan, so it will cost $3,000.

We’ll Talk Over the Plan Together

I’ll show you what we’re thinking, based on how you live and what you want. Then I’ll clearly explain the process, the costs, and any limitations I’m seeing. You’ll ask me questions. We’ll make sure we’re on the same page.

The Letter of Intent

If everything looks great and you want to move forward, we’ll sign the letter of intent. This is a contract: here’s what I’ll do, here’s what you’ll do.

Now, the Exciting Part!

After we’ve signed the letter of intent, I’ll introduce you to my team and we’ll get started on this adventure together.

Site-specific Knowledge

We’ll work within relevant permitting and codes wherever you want to build. In the industry, this is called “scattered site development.” In practical terms, it means we’ll bring the expertise to navigate site-related regulation no matter where you build.

High-quality Trades

Instead of bidding out our trades, we use the same people again and again – because we know they do high quality work and because we trust them. This costs slightly more – but your trades will show up when they’re supposed to, and you’ll get a better product.

Good Treatment of Trades

An honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work isn’t old fashioned. We pay our trades every two weeks. They’re happy, and they do better work. In fact, I like to find tradespeople who do great quality work and help them establish their businesses. 

Integrity

You are not going to get through a construction project of any size without something going wrong. When something happens, we never walk away. We never cut a corner, even when it isn’t seen. We handle unexpected problems with directness and integrity.

Transparency

I hate how some builders take advantage of their clients. It’s not fair to the client, and the resulting quality is poor. That’s why nothing is hidden in our process. Martha will run through the financials with you every week. We’ll share every invoice, every bill with you.

Neat and Clean Site

You’ll find out quickly that I’m a real stickler for clean job sites. A dirty job site is unsafe. People get hurt. Plus, a nice neat project takes the stress off the homeowner.
